Detect your training values and transmit these to your tablet or smart phone thanks to the SmartRow-Technology - by exchanging the built-in pulley with a new roller with DMS technology. 100% precise measuring technique for an optimal analysis of your training values.Connect the WaterRower rowing machine with the latest technology. Thanks to the DMS measuring, the measuring by means of a stretch strip, which is integrated in the pulley, your pulling and strength values are precisely detected - independent from the filling level of the water tank. Besides the pulling and strength values, times, distance, number of strokes, and calories are analysed as well. It is an absolute innovation for a pure water resistance system. All data are clearly and intuitively displayed in the App. In combination with a chest strap you can measure your heart rate as well. It is also displayed in the App. All training sessions can be saved.

Der SmartRow-Zusatz wurde als Ergänzung zur Trainingsauswertung für meinen Waterrower gekauft. Beim Einbau sollte man genau nach Anleitung vorgehen. Die Verbindung mit meinem Android-Tablet funktioniert problemlos, die Anzeigefunktion während des Trainings ist sehr gut durchdacht und informativ. Besonders die Kraftkurve bei jedem Ruderschlag hilft für die Bewegungskontrolle. Nach dem Training gibt es ein umfangreiches Protokoll, das dauerhaft abgespeichert ist. Smartrow ist die perfekte Ergänzung insbesondere für den Waterrower A1, da dieser nur einen sehr rudimentären Leistungsmonitor besitzt. Mit Smartrow erhält man sämtliche Leistungsdaten ergometer-genau in der zugehörigen App auf dem Smartphone oder Tablet angezeigt.
Die Smartrow-Rolle ist sehr hochwertig
Der Einbau ist sehr einfach und wird in Videos sehr gut und leicht nachvollziehbar erklärt. Ein wenig schrauben muss man natürlich schon. aber in 45 Minuten ist alles fertig.

Einbau nach Anleitung ist technisch relativ einfach, allerdings schon zeitintensiv. das Gerät lässt sich problemlos mit einem Smartphone oder einem anderen Mobilgerät koppeln. Die Anzeigemodi der Smartrow App sind gut sortiert, allerdings könnten sie durchaus umfangreicher sein (z.B. Speed/2000m fehlt). Leider ist ein Transport der Daten in externe Apps wie Strava oder Polar nicht möglich. Hier besteht noch einiges an Potential.
Was die Genauigkeit der Anzeige angeht, bestehen in jedem Fall deutliche Abwweichungen zum S4. Auf einer geruderten Strecke von 2000 Meter zeigt die Smartrow App im Vergleich zum S4 etwa 250-300 weniger an. Was nun korrekt ist, sei dahingestellt. In beiden Fällen hat man Vergleichswerte.
Fazit: Die Anzeige ist gut und die Möglichkeit der Speicherung gefällt mir. Allerdings sind die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der App (noch) eingeschränkt.... [Read more]
